The partners of New South are active in several of the region’s economic and community development initiatives, including AdvantageWest, the Blue Ridge Angel Investor Network, the Colburn Earth Science Museum, the Blue Ridge Extension Partnership, the Grove Arcade, the Buncombe County Economic Development Coalition and the Asheville Area Chamber of Commerce.

AdvantageWest is Western North Carolina's regional economic development commission. Chartered by the North Carolina General Assembly in 1994, AdvantageWest is a nonprofit public-private partnership whose primary focus is marketing the North Carolina mountains to corporations seeking to relocate, open a new facility, or expand an existing business within the region.

Asheville Area Chamber of Commerce Asheville is more than a great place to visit, it is a great place to live and do business. With almost 2,000 members, Asheville’s Chamber of Commerce is one of the most active chambers in the United States.
